Guest Room "Angelica e Medoro"

The frescos

The decoration of the room is punctuated by a painted architectural score made up of smooth ionic mottled marble look columns, which contain three large panels; below them runs a marble look skirting board with cherubs holding scrolls. Along the walls are three episodes from Orlando Enraged, chivalrous epic poem by Ludovico Ariosto, the definitive version of which was published in 1532: Angelica Carving Medoro’s name on a Tree, The Folly of Orlando and the Castle of Atlas.
